Greetings from Sherwood!
We can’t believe it has only been 3 days since the start of the session. We have had so many activities that our days feel long even though we are having a blast! The session will fly by though. I always like to say that a day feels like a week, and a week feels like a day at Surprise Lake Camp.
The boys have settled in their bunks, met their counselors and their group mates. Unfortunately due to rain, we haven’t had our traditional welcome to Sherwood bonfire with Merrylane, but we will on Sunday. We did however have a speed dating session with Merrylane where each station had a different ice breaker question. The boys also participated in a volleyball round robin tournament. Today was our first ‘Specialty’ where campers chose their favorite activity and will participate in it more often than normal group activities for the session.
Tonight is our first Shabbat of the session. We are looking forward to our beautiful beach service. Although it seems like a long way away, it will seem like no time before we see you all on Visiting Day! Any questions or concerns?
