Here at SLC, we like to say that a rainy day at camp is better than a sunny day anywhere else! Nearly 300 of our alumni proved that theory right when they woke up to grey skies and braved some torrential rains just to make their way to Surprise Lake Camp’s annual Alumni Day. It poured for the first hour, but then the sun shined through as brightly as the SLC spirit! There was such a wide range of age groups represented in camp… we even celebrated the 90th birthday of the wife of a camp alum! We also hosted alumni from the 50’s, 00’s, and everything in between. All the alumni expressed such joy as they reminisced about the amazing memories made at camp. You can always come home to SLC. Mainside campers were treated to special trips out of camp on Sunday… Seniors went roller skating and Moutainview went to Sporttime USA.
On Monday, the Work Program kids went to Camp Ramapo for their legendary ropes course and team building activities.
On Tuesday, the Upper Teens left for their trip to Washington, DC. So far, they seem to be having an awesome time! We’ll get a more detailed explanation of events upon their return!
